Sorry folks, this isn’t another GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Trans) trend. This is a strategy.

Queer theory addresses identity creation, formation, enactment, and performance. Not being fixed, these categories are shifting and changing in different contexts and at different times. What form will be expressed in Copenhagen? That’s up to you.

There is nothing in particular to which queer refers. By definition, it is at odds with the normal, the legitimate, the dominate. A queer approach to making and perceiving art tends to examine the normative while asserting a minority perspective. However, these are in constant flux. Queer plays with itself and its audience… what else can it do?

We are opening the platform, sparking interest, and appropriating this un-commonality of being, this strategy of perspective… queer in Copenhagen.
